I think in today’s world, since we are on a recession people when decide to buy a car, they are lots of thoughts in their minds, whether it is the right decision, or if they will have enough $$ at the end of the month to pay for the car, or if they have stable job. I think in this video from GMC, its showing that they are taking more emphasis in come out with a good incentive for people to buy their car, such as offering a protection for buyers in case if they lose their jobs. Also what I see in this video it is sending a message on What America needs now in order to succeed. Just my opinion…
Very Good Sebastian!
However, do you think this GM Total Protection Plan is a good incentive to buy a GM branded car instead of Honda, Ford, or Hyundai?
Well I guess, that it is up the buyer, in this country people want good brands even if they can not afford it... As far as the GM total Protection Plan, there are other car brand that came out with that plan before, that they will help you to pay for the lease of your car if you dont have a job, but everything has an end, they wont pay until the car is completely paid.. if Im not mistaken, they will pay for a few months only... Car dealers are suffering big time in todays economy... they are trying to do whatever it takes to attract more consumers..
the commercial shows that the consumer population is influenced by whats going on around them economically, hear-say and their own personal lives. Because right now the country is in a recession people are looking for some thing to believe in that someone will have their back per say. GM is leading the consumers to believe that when times get tough for them the company will be there to support them and not run out on them, taking away their car and possibly their lively hood since there are so many whose cars are also a vital part of their job as well.
